Screws of the Plates
The screws are manufactured from titanium or s.steel.
According to the structure of the plate hole, head of the screws are designed in threaded or threadless hemisphere shape. Locking screwhead securely locks the screw to the plate to make a fixed-angle construct.
There are different types screws according to the body structure; fully threaded, 16 - 32 mm partially threaded or peg screw types.
Socket of the screw head, is compatible with the hex screwdriver.
Tip of the screws have been designed in self-tapping style
However, self-drilling screws are available for use when needed.
Screws in 2.0 mm, 2.4 mm, 2.7 mm diameter are used with the mini plates in cases of maxillofacial surgery, hand, and foot surgery.
Cortical screws in Ø 3.5 mm, and cancellous screws in Ø 4.0 mm diameter are used with the small 3.5 plates, in the upper extremity and ankle.
Cortical screws in Ø 4.5-5.0 mm, and cancellous screws in Ø 5.5-6.5 mm diameter are used with the large 4.5 plates, in the lower extremity (femural and tibial applications).
